I Decided To Build a Project Race Ski In 2001 to Compete in the Expert 800cc
Closed Course Regional & World Champinship Series.
I located a 1997 XP 800 as many would have thought this to be the one Odd-Ball
in the Seadoo Lineup. The Predesesor to the Best selling PWC in History the 951 Seadoo XP-Limited. The Idea was to build an
800 Class Ski that would be dominant in Rough Water Racing.
After the Paint dried we added the OXT Sponsons and new Molding
Then relocated the battery box to the front of the boat & used the location of the oil
injection mount for the MSD Ignition Placement. Notice the Splatter Paint over the white Gelcoat Inside.

I chose the Magnum 12 Vein Set Back Pump and Relocated the Exhaust outlet to
allow for a more free flowing Exhaust. The Ride Plate is a Factory OEM and a Jet Dynamics Intake Grate to help load the water.

Striping all Molding, Decals, Trim, Pump, Steering basically everything down to the bare hull was
done to get the weight down. All unesential parts were removed, even the Hull Foam was disgarded. Then the bottom was straight
edged and trued sanded down several layers and re-coated with White Gel and heavy Clear.


Inside the motor I had Phil at Crank works rebuild the crank shaft and weld & pin the
crank for strength The cases and cylinder are ported to specs I felt that will help accelerate this craft to its full potential.
Wiseco Pistons will provide the needed compression.
The Dual 1/2 inch waterlines should keep things cool. As you can see everything in here is
very sano. A polished Factory Spec II with ECWI / ADA Billet Head / MSD Ignition System / MSD Water Control / TDR Water Box
/ NOVI 47 XR Carbs / Fly Flame Arrestors
To finish it off I added the Jet trim Seat & Mat Kit / UMI Steering System with UMI Billet
levers and Switch housing / Red Top True Cad Lever Operated Trim System / Hot Tach Race Pack / Skat Trak Exit & Steering
Nozzles with changeable rings.
